It is very soft, but although it absorbs quite a bit of water, it needs to absorb more and should be bigger.These are fine quality and look very nice, but they were an inch shorter than what Amazon said they were. Bad on Amazon.This is a great concept but is about half as thick as it should be. Also takes a long time to dry completelyPerfect thickness, pebbles on mat look awesome! And they color is great on these mats. Definitely would recommend!Really liked the softness but had to get use to the thickness and Memory Foam so as to not tripping getting up on to and off the rug. Like it so much bought a second one and another one for my daughter.When I first moved into my apartment I bought this crappy little gray bath mat from Bed Bath and Beyond. I finally got rid of it (it slipped all around and was too small) and bought these instead. They are so much nicer! Very comfortable, and they look great. They also STAY IN PLACE, whereas my last bath mat moved around and was generally very annoying. My cat prefers to sleep on the rectangular pad now, that's how comfortable they are.
